CONTROLLER/EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

Article 65

Section 1

The Parties recognize that the employees are accountable for ensuring that their performance conforms with established standards. However, in the event of a difference in professional opinion between the employee and the Agency, the employee shall comply with the instructions of the Agency and the Agency shall assume responsibility for its own decisions.

Section 2

If a controller/employee is relieved from his/her position of operation by the Agency because of alleged unacceptable performance of duty, the controller/employee, if he/she requests, shall be given a written explanation of the reason for such action by the Agency within twenty- four (24) hours. The written explanation is not to be construed as constituting a notice of proposed adverse action.
